• Retinal problems are sometimes inherited and/or caused by a faulty gene.
• Sometimes more than one family member may have similar problems with their vision such as central or peripheral vision loss or difficulty seeing at night.
• Dr Warren Apel specialises in Inherited Retinal Diseases and has been involved in medical research in this area through his Fellowships in Oxford and London.
